The Forgotten Side
In 1988 a group of 11 & 12 year old lads from Powick village, with the help of parents Keith Lewis and Derek Dallow, formed a U'13s village side.
The side never entered into a competitive league and instead played friendlies against local League and Scout sides of similar age groups.
The side remained together until 1993 when the nucleus of the side commenced training with Powick FC.
With this influx of young players, Powick FC set up a Sunday Reserves side that was entered into the Malvern League for the 1994/95 season under the Management of Ade Barrnett (taking over from his brother Damien Barnett midway through the preseason).
The highlight of their opening season saw them beat Ledbury Rangers FC 4-3 despite, due to injuries and absentees, only being able to field nine men for the match.
The side continued to progress during the 1995/96 season under the guidance of Barry Price and Graham Bird.
During this second season, due to a lack of players, the Sunday First Team folded meaning as of the 1996/97 season the Reserves were disbanded to become the First Team.
The side remained in the Malvern League for a further season before returning to the Worcester & District Football League.
